Maui, Hawaii and Saratoga, California, February 17, 2005 – MauiGames today announced that it has expanded its leadership team by adding Kalani Streicher, former President and Executive Producer of Ronin Entertainment and Senior Producer, Project Leader and Senior Designer for LucasArts Entertainment Company, as MauiGames’ Executive Vice President and Worldwide Studios Director. He oversees the Company’s internal production staff, as well as each of MauiGames’ studios. He also directs MauiGames’s strategic product and 3rd party development activities.
“Kalani has an amazing track record in developing highly successful games,” said David Fradin, President of MauiGames. “Over the past several months, Kalani has assembled several teams of programmers and artists that give MauiGames the capability to do four projects simultaneously,” Fradin continued. His teams are currently developing a series of games whose concepts have been accepted by one of the major US cell phone companies. Kalani’s leadership is extremely important as the company continues to expand its internal studio network to create more original and license brands.

Kalani started his career at LucasArts Entertainment Company spearheading and establishing the development and production for all LucasArts titles for the Japanese and European markets. He was responsible or involved in a number of award-winning games such as “X-Wing”, “Tie Fighter”, “Dark Forces”, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”, “Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis” and “Loom”. As Senior Producer, Project Leader and Senior Designer he established and led the Nintendo/Sega/Sony video-game console division creating titles such as “Star Wars” and “Empire Strikes Back” for the 8-bit Nintendo and Gameboy, as well as the highly acclaimed “Super Star Wars Trilogy” and “Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures” for the Super Nintendo.
Kalani was also President/Owner and Executive Producer of Ronin Entertainment where he developed console and PC games for companies Infogrames, Inc. “American McGee’s OZ”, for Universal Interactive/Vivendi and Microsoft “Bruce Lee”, for RipCord Games/Panasonic Interactive Media “Armor Command” and “Legend of the BladeMasters”, for LucasArts Entertainment Company “Force Commander”, for Activision “MechWarrior II” and for Virgin Interactive “Neo Hunter”.
Kalani graduated from the Technical University of Frankfurt, Germany with a Masters Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Precision Mechanics and was born in Maui, Hawaii.
